 NCT Ventures - NCT has been making investments in marketing, logistics and industry disruptive business models for over 20 years. These investments include businesses that have been in large and/or expanding markets, possessed a sustainable competitive advantage, have maintained above industry average margins, are located in the Midwest and are lead by a strong entrepreneurial management team. NCT will continue to focus its investment efforts on opportunities that fit within the aforementioned criteria because that is where NCT has proven success.
Validation Fund - In the spring of 2005 NCT recognized an opportunity created by the significant venture capital funding gap in Central Ohio. In order to capitalize on the shortfall of available capital NCT started a pre-seed venture fund that focuses on early-stage technology investments based in Ohio. NCT received a Grant from the State of Ohio's Validation Fund Seed Fund Initiative Program in June 2006 and has made four investments since the inception of the validation fund.
